Some of the evidence that a person is suffering dementia

Loss of short term memory, like the lady who this morning told me an item about her beautiful little great grand child. I responded suitably.

About 3 minutes later she repeated exactly the same item as though I had never heard it before. Should I tell her or just let it pass. I let it pass.

How do I know if I am suffering from it too.

My mother is DEFINITELY NOT a candidate. I think her mind is as sharp or sharper now than it ever has been. What do you think?
